Loose skin after weight loss (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro)

What is it?

Significant weight loss, especially with new treatments such as Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro, can leave loose skin on the abdomen, arms, thighs or face. Several solutions exist depending on the degree of laxity.

Who is it for?

They are intended for people whose weight has been stable for several months.

How it is done

Assessment during the consultation: radiofrequency and liposuction for moderate laxity, skin-excess surgery (abdominoplasty, arm or thigh lift) for significant laxity.

Anaesthesia

Depending on the technique: local, sedation or general.

Recovery

Variable depending on the procedure, from a few days to several weeks.

The result

The aim is to restore harmonious contours; scars are unavoidable with skin-excess surgery.

Risks

Like any procedure, this one carries risks that are rare but real (infection, haematoma, healing problems, asymmetry, reaction to anaesthesia...). They are explained in detail during the consultation, with written information.

The information on this website is general and does not replace a medical consultation. Every surgical or medical procedure carries risks. For cosmetic surgery, French law requires a reflection period of at least 15 days between the detailed quote and the procedure.
